2018-08-17 file created On the back of the photo is written: Pace Family Reunion June 10, 1994 Taken at "Paces Paines" The colonial home place of Richard and Izabella Smythe Pace circa 1622. The home was built circa 1750 (so, we are told). The property was sold by Pace nearly 100 years prior to the home being built. The Property lies on the south bank of the James River across the river from Jamestown which is on the north bank some 4 miles distant. Pace saved many of the residents by rowing across river in 1622 to warn them of the great massacre. These people [in photo] are descendants of Pace. Leah, Ronnie, and Adam (Vincent) can be seen just left of middle in the second row. Ronnie has dark glasses. Adam is wearing a pink shirt and ball cap. I later added "(Mt. Pleasant}" and at the bottom. Their website for the historic old home and property is: http://mountpleasantplantation.com/ Visit the website and click "history." In the menu, you'll see a link for "timeline."
