PROVINENCE OF PHOTOS

Ted McClellan is connected to the Seays through our common ancestor Martha Jane Harris (1835-1914) who married twice.

Martha's first husband was my great-great-grandfather, Nathaniel David See (1840-1862) and her second was Ted's great-grandfather, Thomas Jefferson Thompson (1847-1910).

Ted's grandfather Andrew Jackson Thompson (1872-1951) and my great-grandfather John Nathaniel Seay (1862-1927) were half-brothers and good friends as well.

I inherited the photos of Andrew Johnson.

The photos were formerly in the possession of Nathaniel David See's son, John Nathaniel Seay.
When he died in 1927 to his daughter, Oma Seay Vincent received them.
When Oma died in 1955, Andrew's photos went to Oma's daughter Evelyn Vincent Farris.
When Evelyn died in 1980 her daughter, Cass got the photos.
Cass gave them to me.

In January 2014 I sent the two photos of Andrew Thompson to his grandson Ted McClellan after connecting with Ted via the Family Tree DNA website.
