I'm not sure where this information came from at the top of ] [this page, perhaps Aunt Evelyn Farris. This page was written in 1975 ] [according to the date I penned in later. ] [ ] [Aunt Ruby only had two daughters: Mary (known as "Billie"), and Ruth. ] [These were my father's 1st cousins. I probably got the address for ] [Billie King, from Aunt Evelyn. I seem to recall her searching for an ] [envelope that had the address written on it. Billie was Aunt Ruby's ] [oldest daughter. She had no sons. ] [ ] [ ] [NOTE #2: ] [Nona Mae was Elmer Vincent's oldest daughter. Elmer was a younger bro. ] [of my grandfather, Oakley Vincent, who moved to California and raised ] [his family there. Nona Mae used to return back east where she was born ] [to visit her mother's kin near Anniston, AL and her father's kin where ] [we lived near Birmingham. She usualy stayed with us. I remember her ] [first visit was way back in the 1950s. She made several visits. ] [ ] [In June 1977, two of Nona Mae's sisters came east to visit. These ] [research notes were written when Nona Mae visited the previous Sept. ] [ ] [At the bottom of this page in the research log it says, "the town of ] [Vincent, Alabama was named after one of his uncles. I later connected ] [with a descendant of the person after whom the town was named. She gave] [me a copy of her genealogy pedigree going back many generations. There ] [is no evidence that the town was named for anyone related to us. ]
