Links to many photos of Susie taken throughout her life are available by clicking
the "Photos & Documents" link above or by visiting Permanent.org where they helped me create a photo TimeLine of her life from early childhood until 2003 the year she died. CLICK HERE and the timeline will open in a new window. Susie and I were married for 36 years before we lost her to cancer. We had a wonderful life together and raised 8 children. A devout member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she spent her last months on earth researching her ancestors and performing holy sealing ordinances for them in the Birmingham Temple. Her sister Sandy continues doing family research for their ancestors. I hope my children learn about them. Every relative has a story. Susie hated technology. It took us forever to persuade her to to begin using the computer. Once she learned how, we couldn't get her off the thing! :-) Mine & Susie's 8 children are: John, David, JoAnna, Sarah, Rainey, Karen, Adam, and Leah. (Click their name for a family photo of each - OR - CLICK HERE to see them all on one page)
(click photo for a larger picture) L to R: (1st row) Karen, Leah, Susie, Ron, Adam, Rainey (2nd row) Sarah, JoAnna, David, John Known to many of her grandchildren as "Ma Bean", you can read the story behind that name if you, CLICK HERE. Our children's 4 grandparents' were: Hap Vincent, Doris Warren, Coot Little, and Dot Youngblood. The Vincent family has been researched for over 100 years but the Warren Family has had very little research done by me. I've relied mostly on other researchers. I've focused mostly on my mother's matriarchal line, the Blakes. Some pages linked from here are still under construction. As mentioned above, Susie's sister Sandy has done extensive research on Susie's ancestors. I hope my children and grandchildren learn from her and seek to find out what research work needs to be done on Susie's 4 grandparents lines. I highly recommend that they talk to the previous generations before they've all passed on. As of the time of this writing, Susie's mother, sisters, and brother are all still living and know a lot about their family. They can share stories that haven't yet been preserved in digital format. Susie's 1st cousins are still living as do their mothers although both their father's have now passed on. Each of them knows stories about Susie's 4 grandparents' lines. These lines are: Little, Prince, Youngblood, and Kelly. . |
