Linda and I married a year after my wife Susie died.  Linda is a devout member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  She  has spent many years researching her ancestors and performing holy sealing ordinances for them in our church's temples.  She loves large families and she loves doing family history.

When we married in 2004, Linda was using an old, out-of-date desktop PC.  She says she married me for my computer. :-)

Linda's 3 children are (my BONUS children): Dana, Chrysti, and Wendy.

(L to R: Dana, Chrysti, and Wendy)

Their 4 grandparents' surnames are: MeadowsBatesLogue,  and  Watkins.  I've met many of Linda's relatives -- great people.  Linda and I have enjoyed visiting them and interviewing them for family research.

They have created family history Facebook pages and planned family reunions.  Linda and her Uncle Edward Logue shared their collection of family research.  Her Watkins relatives are working through Facebook to gather family photos and stories to hopefully print a book.

The Bates Family members have recorded interviews, collected photos, and posted their ancestry on FamilySearch.org.  Our family attends the Cochran Ward of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where the Bates Family began worshipping over a century ago.  Here's there line beginning with their father:

Danny Meadows > Martha Leora Bates (1923-1984) > Arthur Marion Bates (1898-1981) > John Thomas Bates (1872-1931)

Dana, Chrysti, and Wendy descend from the Bates Family -- the family that's been members of the church in Bleckley County, Georgia longer than any other.  John Thomas Bates was baptized a member of the church on 2 April 1900.
